Jan graduated from her degree in ceramics three years ago and now lives and works in Bolton. Her inspiration comes from the study of urban and rural landscapes. The strong geometrical forms of an urban environment contrast with the flowing asymmetrical lines of a natural landscape. This fusion results in the creation of contemporary "one-off" pieces.

Her medium is glazed stoneware, created using her own unique glazes in overlapping patterns and with bold linear markings to form her distinctive style.
