Susie Perring attended the London College of Printing from 1963-1967. Thereafter she pursued a successful career as a graphic designer, working with a number of prestigious design groups. After a break to start a family, she began a number of part-time activities, including distinctive interior design and decoration. In 1984 she returned to full time artistic work, specialising as a printmaker in etchings, line drawing and aquatints. She has exhibited widely, both in the UK and abroad, including five Royal Academy Summer exhibitions. She did two commissions for the new P&O liner Oriana and more recently two more for The Pride of Rotterdam and The Pride of Hull. She has also taught for the Outreach programme of Dulwich Picture Gallery's Education Department. Susie is a founder of Half Moon Printmakers and the South Bank Printmakers and a member of Hampshire Contemporary Artists. She has also been a member of the Committee of the Printmakers Council and Greenwich Printmakers. Her work is on show at several Galleries throughout the UK, and in Ireland, France, Germany and North America. It is also in private collections in the UK and abroad, including John Lewis Partnership; P&O Liners: British Petroleum (now BP) and KAS Associate NV. |
