Pauline Watson

Pauline Watson is an artist living and working in London. She initially trained as a biologist before taking up art seriously after retiring. She studied printmaking at Morley College and also at London Print Studio.
Pauline has had her work exhibited in many Printmakers Council exhibitions. She also exhibited in the Royal Academy of Arts in 1997. In 1996, 1998 and 1999 she also showed her work in an exhibition of wildlife artists at the Mall Galleries in London and has participated in many club and similar shows.

Her work is mainly in the form of etchings, often in black and white or multiplate colour etchings. She often combines this traditional technique with the viscosity method and uses chine colle to achieve the desired results. The final works are often fairly small, more or less imaginary scenes incorporating people, plants and insects.

Her etchings are held in many private collections.
